Sheila's Free Range Eggs. Hoping to start my own business of free range eggs. location is Pine City MN, not Braham. I can't get the city to edit.

This business is just a dream that I am trying to turn into a reality. Probably would be a year before I really can get it established. at this point I am only getting 6 eggs a day, with more babies that need to grow up yet to start laying. I am only sending this to my closest friends for the time being. Any of you interested in a dozen eggs just let me know. I am starting out at $2.50 for a dozen medium and $3.50 for the extra large (mainly double yolkers) bring your own carton $0.40 discount.

Our 8 girls, ( 4 are 1 year, 4 are 5 years!! 04-08-15) keep us well fed. This is 7 days worth of eggs. Finally getting our stock back up.
The green and smaller lighter eggs are from the 5 year olds!!

What a brilliant feed bin idea!!! No scrapping around and wasted feed on the floor and the feed would be kept dry in the rain 😀 (Ps not my photo)

**this was posted originally in 2016 and is gaining a lot of attention again(2020). I never got around to making one but with winter on its way here in Australia and possibly some spare time on our hands in isolation, who knows I may actually make one. If anyone has made one or found instructions to make this please add to this post or the community posts on this page.

Very informative!

Listen to your chicks: When everything is right, chicks will be spaced evenly in the brooder and emit a soft cheeping.

A stressed chick will have a shrill, high-pitched or very rapid cheep. Translate this as a call for help and look for the problem. Stress could be caused by chicks being too hot or cold, wet litter or they may be hungry or thirsty.
