It is certainly starting to feel like fall even if it’s still boiling hot! 🍂🥵

Lambing season has begun and there aren’t kuch things cuter than baby lambs! 🐑🌾

We also weaned all of the calves this past week to give all of the mamas a much deserved break! Selections have been made on who will be staying to become part of the herd, I will share information about them on the coming weeks. We will also begin halter breaking a few of the calves in the next few weeks as well.

I appreciate each season during the year but fall has definitely become a favorite of mine! 🍁

A healthy little ewe lamb 🩷 to add to our flock of Registered Barbados Blackbelly Sheep!

Since she happened to be born on the day that we lost Dolly Parton, a true icon, I think it is only fair that I name this little girl Dolly! 🎤

Hopefully she will live up to her namesake and be a legend here at Cool Creek! ☀️🌾🌳🐑🚜

They are all currently bred to our registered Barbados Blackbelly Ram but we lost him a couple of months ago so now we have the Katahdin Ram watching over the flock!
