Would anyone local (central NH) be interested in buying rabbit meat from me? Just wondering if its really worth continuing. Part of me wants to just raise angoras. I love the breeders I have now, so its a tough decision. I have taken such a long break though not sure anyone is interested or if my does can even have good litters at this point, everyone looks pretty fat lol. I think I need to cut back on how many rabbits we have.

I got to do some blending today after doing a bunch of yardwork. Both are $12 plus $5 shipping or can be picked up or possibly meet somewhere. Merino/corriedale blends with a touch of angora. The pink one also has alpaca, and the green has targhee instead of alpaca. Let me know if you are interested!

This morning I found Mr. Waffles had passed. He looked peaceful at least, I didnt realize he was gone at first. I have been treating him everyday since Sunday with SafeGuard for a suspected E. Cuniculi infection. Day two and three he was extremely congested and struggling to breathe but last night he sounded much better... but now he's gone. I don't know if I misdiagnosed him, if I caught it too late, or what, but I tried to help him with the little information and knowledge I have. He is in his final resting place now. RIP Mr. Waffles, you were such a good boy. We will miss your kisses and jealous thumps when you wanted attention.

Got to try out my new swing picker for the first time! This picture shows what I started with. CVM which I didn't do the greatest job washing, had to rewash it because there's so much lanolin in CVM wool, so it became a little felted. But the picker did pretty well picking it apart and then I ran it through my drum carder. The batt showing was run through twice.

Here's a picture of the angora I spun at the Alexandria Church Fair on Saturday. I would have spun more, but I had to stop to card each rolag. But I think it worked out well for a demo. This is 100% angora rabbit from my Star. If you would be interested in a full skein of angora yarn, let me know!

Picking up my swing picker in the morning and then spending the day at the Alexandria Church Fair as a demonstrator. I am bringing CeeCee, my Country Craftsman spinning wheel, and a whole box of angora fiber from Star, my black Satin/Giant cross, as well as 2 small bags of raw wool that was slightly washed by the rain (thanks to, I'm assuming, a bear(he was probably disappointed to find the smelly wool no longer had a sheep attached to it)). I may spin that raw if I get bored of the angora, or want to take a break from carding. I am also bringing my bigger turkish spindle just in case. My car is already loaded up, just need to remember to grab the umbrella because there are supposed to be showers.
