Beneath this rugged flag stands the people who are rising from the ashes, who’s courage and grit can be seen in our communities and neighborhoods. People who are dusting off the black soot and starting to rebuild. Through the fire, drought, and hardships, we will till the soil, rebuild our fences and continue on. Beneath this rugged flag stands the hands that built this land rooted in sacrifices for generations. Our stength of our nation belongs to those who send their days in the fields and pasture.

Today is the day that I want to share:
What I Want My a Ranch Kids to Know.

Cody and I have been working on our summer list of to dos. Along with making our list, I have been thinking about life lessons that we have had this school year. I have been working on this post for awhile and I thought today was a good day to share it with you all.

➡️What I Want MY Ranch Kids to Know⬅️

📌Read your Bible and Pray, EVERYDAY!!

📌You can accomplish Big things by doing little things everyday.

📌This school year I have preached to the kids, that you have to practice to get better and that you have to set goals. If you move a rock a day, you can build a mansion in no time.

📌Once you lose trust, it is hard to get it back. Don't lie, be humble, and be genuine. That is all.

📌Don't do anything to lose trust in your parents, teachers, coaches, and your classmates.

📌You don't have to be the best to make a difference.

📌Good friendships and relationships don't just happen. You have look for them, hold on during rough patches and put effort into them.

📌Be prepared for the future but don't forget that all you can control is your actions today.

📌Sometimes you will lose so you will learn what you need to win.

📌Instead of bragging about yourself, give compliments to those around you.

📌Treat others with respect.

📌Own your own mistakes, admit when we're wrong and offer an apology with a humble heart.
It's OK to be different.

📌Hard work never hurt a soul.

📌Don't ever forget your roots.

Today I am not only sharing these with you, and I am sharing them with the boys. I am excited for what our summer will bring, I am excited to see what God has planned for our family and I am excited to see what God has planned for YOU.

Do you have summer plans? Goals? I would love to hear about them.

Come along with me as I make bottles for our burn babies! We use BluePrint Calf Milk made by Hubbard Feeds. In our opinion it’s the best option. It’s make with real milk and mixes very well. Our burn victims love it.

Burn Babies Update. Unfortunately we lost one of the calves today. He was a fighter. We know that this could happen but we did our best to give him the best treatment and life. It’s been a little sad today.

Branding day looked a little different this year.

Ranch Pickups showed up with water tanks in the back.

We branded 2 bunches, about 6 miles apart. We didn’t want to trail them through the burned up ground so they wouldn’t get sick.

I didn’t cook lunch in the Dutch ovens or over a fire.

But it was a good day, with great help.
