throwback to when i was on an influencer panel at the women in digital annual conference.

i’ve been clearing out my photos from my phone to an external hard drive and not only has it got me reminiscing, it’s made me realize just how many things i never posted. maybe i was curating my instagram a little more back then. this was a very cool experience as the only other time i’d been to the southern theater was to watch fiona apple perform. i’m pretty sure that’s all i could focus on: that i was stepping where fiona’s feet had once stepped 🙏🏼 looking back on this kind of thing makes me feel like i should give myself more credit for the little wins in my life…or just trying to be kinder to myself overall is worthwhile.

it is crunch time in my novel generator workshop: i have the next month off from class, and then my entire book is due mid-april. i need to be focused on my daily word count goal, but i am also fighting against the annoying internal block that makes me do everything BUT write my novel. right now it’s another project where i am researching con artists in history, so i’m reading about the man who stole the eiffel tower and the man who sold the brooklyn bridge and actively avoiding my pages for what feels like no reason at all. just using this time to call myself out so that maybe i can shame myself into the right priorities. feel free to pile on.
