Garlic Parmesan Sauce Slow-Cooked Over Chicken and Potatoes
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped into cubes
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
1. Let’s get started by prepping our ingredients. Wash and peel those lovely potatoes, then chop them into cubes. Don’t worry about making them perfect; rustic is charming!
2. In a large slow cooker, drizzle in the olive oil, and then toss in the potato cubes. They’ll be the cozy base that soaks up all that delicious sauce.
3. Next, gently lay the chicken breasts on top of the potatoes. No need to fuss too much; just let them find their place.
4. Now, let’s make our magical Garlic Parmesan sauce! In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk it together until it's nice and smooth. The aroma is already heavenly!
5. Pour this creamy goodness over the chicken and potatoes, making sure everything is well coated. The flavors are going to meld beautifully as it cooks!
6. Cover your slow cooker and set it to low for about 6 to 7 hours. If you’re in a hurry, you can turn it up to high and have it ready in about 3 to 4 hours. Either way, the wait will be worth it!
7. When it’s time to eat, check that the chicken is cooked through and has reached a safe temperature. The potatoes should be tender and infused with that delicious, garlicky flavor.
8. Before serving, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top and let it melt into that lovely sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color!
9. Spoon the chicken and creamy potatoes into bowls. Oh, the comfort you’re about to experience!
