I found this recipe tucked in my grandmother's old recipe box last month, and I almost skipped right past it. "Mamie Eisenhower's Fudge" — sounded fancy, maybe complicated. Then I saw the ingredient list and realized it was basically a genius shortcut using marshmallow fluff and chocolate chips. Made it on a rainy Sunday afternoon and my husband wandered into the kitchen asking what smelled so good. When I told him it was fudge, he looked skeptical. Then he tried a piece.

He ate four more before dinner.

This fudge is dangerously creamy — that kind of melt-on-your-tongue texture that doesn't feel homemade until you realize it absolutely is. The marshmallow fluff gives it this impossibly smooth, almost velvety consistency, and the chocolate flavor is deep and rich without being too sweet. It sets up perfectly in the fridge, slices clean, and honestly tastes like something you'd pay way too much for at a fancy candy shop.

I brought the rest to a potluck and three people asked for the recipe before I even set the plate down.

**INGREDIENTS:**

• 2 cups granulated sugar

• ¾ cup evaporated milk

• 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

• 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow fluff

• ¼ cup butter

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• Pinch of salt

*(You can swap the semi-sweet chips for milk chocolate if you want it a little sweeter, or even add a handful of chopped nuts if that's your thing.)*

**INSTRUCTIONS:**

Line an 8x8 or 9x9 pan with parchment paper and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and evaporated milk over medium heat.

Stir constantly until it comes to a full rolling boil.

Let it boil for exactly 5 minutes, stirring the whole time so it doesn't scorch.

Remove from heat and immediately stir in the chocolate chips, marshmallow fluff, butter, vanilla, and salt.

Keep stirring until everything melts together into a glossy, smooth mixture — it'll look almost like hot fudge sauce at first, then thicken as it cools slightly.

Pour into your prepared pan and smooth the top.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.

Lift out using the parchment, slice into squares, and try not to eat half the batch before anyone else gets home.

This one's going straight into my holiday baking rotation — saving it for the next time I need something impressive that doesn't actually require any skill.

Who in your house would sneak pieces of this straight from the fridge?
