Saturday was Retrospective at Strong Rope, and we had beautiful fall weather for our tenth anniversary annual event. The beer was flowing, the music was playing, and the vibes were immaculate. Thank you to our brewers, our volunteers, our ticket holders, and our raffle donors including , , , , , , , , , , and . Thank you to , the recipient of a portion of our ticket sales, for showing up and taking part as well. And the biggest thank you of all to for hosting us, for brewing with us, and for being a champion of the Brewminaries and the homebrewing community for a decade. YOU are the MVP and we love you!

Our collaboration with is being packaged today! Brewmies Never Say Rye! is a punchy Rye Pale Ale with biscuit and spice notes from the malt and rye, with a pleasant floral and citrus hop under current that finishes with a satisfying snap.

Last night we didn’t have a showcase or speaker for our meeting, so we treated it like an old school homebrew swap! And you can’t have a B&E swap without a Heath Sobel Memorial F***ing Cup! After a 3-way tie, Dustin eked out the victory in runoff voting for his Lemondrop kettle sour!

Yaaaaaaaaas! A massive thank you to for inviting us to their Friends and Family preview night. did a half Noah (one of everything) with a group of friends and every last pour and plate was enjoyed with gusto. Looking forward to and wishing for their success as they open TOMORROW, September 10th.

While you wait for your first course, start with a mliko pour of each of the traditional Czech lagers in order of darkness. Remember to quaff them before they settle for the best effect. You won’t be disappointed.

If you still haven’t had a chance to try our collaboration with , still has a keg on tap! It’s called PIZZAAAA!! and it’s a hoppy lager brewed with NYS Pilsner and biscuit malt, and hopped with Centennial, Motueka, and Comet. It’s like Pilsner meets classic American IPA! Crisp, bitter, and piney. 5.4% ABV. Get it before it’s gone!

BIG thanks to Tony and Kat for hooking us up with the same New York Pilsner we used for our recent collab with . This malt is going to be shared with our members to make clones of the recipe we developed with . The official collaboration will go on tap for our monthly meeting on June 19th (THURSDAY!!!), and we’ll share our versions next month on July 16th. Wanna try? Join us!
