The start of my Butterfly Pea Flower plant 😁

This plant was hurt in a storm a few weeks back and it’s finally starting to run again. I have a few smaller ones started that will be moved to this area soon too. I want this plant everywhere!

If you didn’t know, this flower has medicinal properties. It’s an antioxidant, helps with stabilizing blood sugar & helps with brain function and memory.

The dried flowers go right into the tea and it will dye the water a lovely shade of blue/purple. When you pick the flowers or encourages the plant to produce more of them.

Hopefully I can come back with a fuller, prettier version in a few weeks 😍

Stop spilling food!! 🤣

These Wyandottes are lovely, but man they make a mess lol I thought my silkies were bad!

I had to bring out the ole drywall mixing tray from Lowe’s 😅 It has drain holes in the bottom & I just screw it to the wood 🤷‍♀️

Chicken keeping isn’t always glamorous and this works, mostly. Apparently he’s still good at spilling with his beak lol At least he’s not dumping the whole tray 👏

It even has a warming tray that doubles as a grease shield 👏 Momma is happy! 😁

Please keep positive thoughts for this hen 🙏

She is the smallest mottled I have and I noticed two days ago she was a little off. Last night she wasn’t any better so I made the call to pull her inside.

I can’t see anything obviously wrong with her, she’s just not as spicy as usual & seems overly tired. She has everything I can throw at her in her water and a place to rest alone.

I have yet to lose a bird this year and I don’t want her to be the first. I hope she gets better 🥺
