Seeking PT Cook/Housekeeper/House Manager
Are you an organized, detail-oriented individual who loves cooking, creating a welcoming home, and keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for someone to join our family (2 adults/1 8-yr old; no pets currently) in Brunswick for 8–12 hours per week, split between two days (ideally Monday and Thursday, though we’re flexible).
Our family values open, honest, and direct communication. We believe in asking clarifying questions to set you up for success and will provide lots of upfront guidance and ongoing support to help you feel confident in your role. Our household is rooted in warmth, kindness, and clear expectations, and we value reliability and a collaborative spirit.
Responsibilities
Cooking & Housekeeping (Required Tasks)
• Prepare meals for our family (ideally vegetarian) and enjoy experimenting with new recipes.
• Handle grocery shopping and other requested errands.
• Launder, fold, and put away clothing, or change linens.
• Light house cleaning and organizing (we already have a weekly cleaner).
Household Management (Desired Tasks)
• Coordinate errands, appointments, and home maintenance projects.
• Plan events, vacations, and other family activities.
• Supervise household and oversee packages when we’re away.
Child Care
• Occasionally help with school drop-offs or pick-ups on workdays.
• Provide short-term childcare (typically about an hour at a time).
• Additional opportunities for income through babysitting outside of house-managing hours if interested.
What We’re Looking For
• Someone who can anticipate needs, adapt to various tasks, and is comfortable with asking questions when needed.
• Open-minded and eager to grow, with a willingness to learn and be trained in areas you may be less experienced in.
• Friendly, professional, and detail oriented
• Driver’s license and reliable car.
• Non-smoker.
• Able to provide 2-3 references
• Willing to undergo a background check (sourced and paid for by us)
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, with potential for additional income through babysitting opportunities.
