As per 10am press conference, clean up efforts are still ongoing in the City of Buffalo. There is an anticipated 7pm completion. With that in mind and safety of all, we are uncertain that we will open today 12/28.

We are anticipating regular business hours for tomorrow 12/29 (with Trivia!) but will continue to update as we learn more! So stay tuned and stay warm!

If possible, we may even open for a few hours tonight! We could use a beer too!

It’s almost the end of 2022… but we had to sneak one more collab brew in to get us all ready for those cold Buffalo months that we manage to thrive in!

We are stoked to release HiBEARnator! This aptly named winter brew is a collaboration with the amazing folks Spotted Octopus Brewing Company A tasty Winter Warmer with plenty of ginger, cinnamon, orange peel, cardamom, and allspice, to keep you warm and cozy.

Limited batch, exclusive to Spotted Octopus taproom and Magic Bear.
Spotted Octopus will have some other tasty treats to try as well!

To make things even better for this release, we will have a Spotted Octopus regular - Brisket Love BBQ in the house serving up his amazing brisket sandwiches and mac n cheese!

Enjoy this world class saison that basically sets the benchmark for the style.

Originally saison, meaning “season” was a farmhouse beer brewed typically in one season for enjoyment in another. A means to keep your best farmhands employed and working through the cold weather, while refreshing your entire team during the busiest of days on the farm.

So on this Sunday - sit back and enjoy. The crisp carbonation, pale malts with fresh bread notes and peppery Belgian yeast spice should help refresh your palate and prep you for the final stretch.

Often am I asked “What’s your favorite beer?!” Such a difficult question to answer with so much variety and variation.
Often I answer that question with a question. “Do you mean my deserted island beer?” Meaning that if I were on a deserted island or could only have one more beer for the rest of my life.
Well if that were the case… it might just have to be this beer.

Fridays always hit a little different. Cruising into the weekend with no cares… like a kid with a full pouch of sour patch kids, rolling around the neighborhood on their bicycle ready for the what the weekend would bring.

Well this isn’t a pouch, it’s a Pooch! Our favorite kind of Pooch - a Sour Pooch. So for the first Friday of our calendar we had to deliver a treat.

If you haven’t had Brindle Haus, do yourself a favor and enjoy anything you can from them. From their pilsner, to their old school IPA, they bring their A-game. They are most known for their sours, and this pup won’t disappoint. A staple brewery here since we’ve opened.
