Large corporations in charge of farmlands create less diversified agricultural products. Corporations find it easier, and cheaper, to produce one crop that usually produces quantities in excess of the population’s need. While local farmers who have their control are able to adapt to community wants/needs, and focus on utilizing the land to its full potential to provide variety and quality.
To add insult to injury, it is believed that with a reliance on monocropping, or crops growing a single product, we are contributing to climate change and deforestation.

What other ways do you think land inequality is affecting growers and our environment, and how can we start to reverse it?
