Everyone sees the shelves. Few know who built them.

These pictures were taken in 2018, when Gee and I were on a mission to open Nutrition One #2

We picked these shelves up from IKEA and spent three straight days putting them together. Instead of driving home, we’d sleep on the floor for a few hours, then get right back to work because we needed to open as soon as possible.

Today, everyone knows this place as Nutrition One #2 – 1949 E. Beverly Ave.

Success isn’t one big decision. It’s the small sacrifices nobody sees.

Gee, thank you for believing in the vision before everyone else did. I’ll never forget where we started.

The shelves were temporary.
The mindset became permanent.

This past week, we had the opportunity to attend 1st Phorm’s Summer Smash 2026 in St. Louis as VIP guests thanks to our rep, Noah La Rosa. We truly appreciate his hospitality and attentiveness throughout the entire event.

As someone who’s naturally a bit of a hermit, it took a lot for me to make the trip, But I wanted to experience firsthand the culture that Andy Frisella and the 1st Phorm team have built.

What inspired me most wasn’t the event itself—it was the culture. You can genuinely feel how much the employees believe in the mission and love being part of the team. That’s something every business owner should strive to build.

I left St. Louis with fresh ideas, renewed motivation, and a deeper appreciation for the power of culture. The work continues.

Thank you Noah, Andy, and the entire 1st Phorm team.
