It might not be the prettiest or the most perfect flower we’ve ever grown, but it’s the first one of the season so it is the most exciting one! In about 2 more weeks this Zinnia field will be covered in blooms! Keep up with us on Instagram and Facebook for announcements about opening day.

Did you know we have plenty of time for Basil in the fall? Normally you think of Basil as a spring herb but our fall growing season is very long so there’s plenty of time to grow huge beautiful plants. We only grow varieties that are naturally resistant to downy mildew  (non-GMO). Currently we have Large Leaf Italian, Genovese, Sweet Thai and Cinnamon Thai. See comments for a full list of herbs currently available.

It’s practically September and September is basically Fall, right???! We are over summer and got Mums showing color. Let’s do this! These gorgeous 1gal triple color Mums are ready to sell. Fall Tomatoes are Ready!!!
Did you know you can grow beautiful tomatoes here in the fall?! Sometimes we don’t have frost until Thanksgiving. Tomatoes grow FAST this time of year so there’s plenty of time for another round of home grown ‘maters! We only grew a few of the easiest varieties so come get em while we got em! Cherokee Purple, San Marzano, Sweet 100s and Sungolds. Big plants ready for your garden in quart pots are only $2.50ea.

SURPRISE!!! WE HAVE MUMS READY!!!
Ok, full transparency, we made a teeeny little mistake and planted a few early blooming mums. They are gorgeous and just starting to pop open now. In August. When it’s 500 degrees outside. Very early for mums, but these beauties decided to kick off fall despite the dreadful weather! We are popping open this week to give you guys a big discount on these gorgeous pink and purple mums. Only $12 each!! (Normally $20) And of course if y’all see anything else you like while you’re here you’re welcome to grab it! We don’t “officially” open until September so the place is a mess, but yall stop by anyway and score a great deal!

Our sunflower and zinnia fields are lookin’ great! We expect to see blooms in approximately 4 weeks! We did plant a little later this season in hopes of catching some cooler weather during bloom time. We’ll keep you guys updated as the field progresses. So excited to see everyone again!!!

Let’s end the season with a cup of coffee and a slow morning. Grab a coffee, look at a cow, pick the very last of our zinnia field. It’s just that simple. But we think simple is good! Get here early to beat the heat.
