Celebrating our first show of the year with a big win for our homebred doe Green Fork L Willow! She was awarded Reserve Champion Junior Doe at the Son of a Buck Show in Blackstone, VA last weekend, a very competitive show with lots of Nigerians in attendance!

All of the girls did great and we were so pleased with their placings. Most notably, Better Wayz Brown Eyed Girl placed 2nd and 3rd in 2 rings in a large class as a first freshener among many 2nd fresheners, and Better Wayz Dazzle placed 3rd and 4th in 2 rings in her class that was even larger. In the junior show, our little doeling Green Fork G Smoke OnThe Water came in 1st in her class, and senior yearling Willow won her reserve champion ribbon 🎉

Thank you so much to Judges Ed Cavanaugh, Dan Laney, and Yvonne Blosser for all the tough decisions and great feedback. And many thanks to the organizers of the Son of a Buck Show for providing us the opportunity to show off all our hardworking girls!

Great times at North Carolina Dairy Goat Breeders Association show last weekend! It was our first showing, and I'm so proud of our does who brought home a total of 10 ribbons in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in their age classes. We went to learn and get some experience, and totally did not expect to come home with any placings. Thanks so much to all the other breeders and the show organizers for making this such an amazing event for everyone, old and new alike. We came away with a lot more than a few ribbons, we made some great connections and special friends. Lindsay, Margee and Erika, thanks a bunch for your help in the show ring! And thank you Evelyn Wool from The Wool Family Farm for all your help and cheerleading. You really kept me going.
