First time mom Pancake delivered 4 baby piggies today….in the 103 degree heat. 🔥🥵🐽 Poor girl! But good job! So far, she is VERY attentive to them, which is something we like to see.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but this needs saying. 🤷‍♀️

If we’ve never met, you haven’t seen the animal, and I don’t know you, I’m not giving out my Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or other payment info ahead of time.

If you’d rather pay digitally, that’s completely fine—but we can do that in person at pickup after we’ve met and you’ve seen the animal. Otherwise, cash at pickup works too.

When a complete stranger insists on paying electronically before we’ve ever met, that’s a red flag for me. 🚩

Just in the first week of this month, I’ve had more scammers message me about animals I’m selling than actual buyers. Almost every one of them refuses the idea of paying cash or waiting until pickup and instead pushes to pay ahead through Venmo or Cash App.

Call me overly cautious if you want, but I’m not taking that chance.

To be completely honest, this is one of our pigs main functions. If an animal dies, it goes to them. They are cleanup crew. Sorry not sorry if that offends you 🤷‍♀️

What’s that? Oh, just a chicken who refuses to roost in the fancy coop we built for her. 🙄🐔 Instead, she thinks the power line is the perfect place to sleep.

I learned something new today! 🤯 My oldest almost squished this little guy because he thought it was a squash bug. I’m glad I stopped him!

Per my impromptu google search, This is a North American Wheel Bug. 🐞 it’s a beneficial predator that helps protect the garden by eating aphids, caterpillars, beetles, stink bugs, and other pests.

They’re definitely friends in the garden, but they’re best admired from a distance! 👀 They aren’t aggressive, but they can deliver a very painful defensive bite if handled that can sometimes take months to fully heal. Respect the bug, and let it do its job!
