HD Shining Chex “Nugget” has been the easiest yearling to work with. She takes everything in stride and is a calm think things through kinda horse. Not much phases her at the moment.

🌟 Colonels Sugar Frost 🌟

May 17, 2005 - October 22, 2026

Colonels Sugar Frost “Freckles” was one of the founding mares of my program. She is a granddaughter of the legendary Colonel Freckles and Sons Doc O Sugar. She was a kind gentle mare. Throughout her career with me she produce 3 colts and 3 fillies. Two of her fillies currently reside with me (Colonelssugarwhiskey and HD Sugar N Shine).

Making the decision of when is the right time is incredibly hard. I had hoped that Freckles would see another summer, however; the last cold spell we received was hard for her. She had developed arthritis is her knee and pastern coming from years of being on rugged tough terrain and during that cold spell she struggled to move. I am going to greatly miss seeing her dark chestnut self. Her legacy will continue on through her daughter Colonelssugarwhiskey (Pumpkin).

Sire: Gallo Cielo Cielo

Buttercream is a nice well built filly that would excel as a reining, cow or rope horse prospect. Her pedigree is backed with many notable names including Nu Chex To Cash, Paddy’s Irish Wh***ey and Boon A Little.

Just a little girl enjoying some time with the foals. I love having such good minded horses.

Nu Irish Lady aka “Ivy” is one of the young up and coming broodmares. She brings a willing attitude, good bone and some height into the program.

And just like that the last foal is officially registered. I did learn my lesson about being way to on top of registering this year and had to do a few color corrections. Those tricky palominos lol. AQHA has been really great to work with this year on getting everything updated.

HD Sugar N Shine (Star) is such a sweet cute filly. She is the last foal by Colonels Sugar Frost (Freckles) and I’m still debating as to keeping her not as I do have Pumpkin (Colonelssugarwhiskey) who is also one of Freckles daughters and she is definitely not for sale.
