Kerchner Artisan Chocolate - Zorzal Cacao On our 1,019 acre bird sanctuary in the mountains of the Dominican Republic, we produce fine flavored, organic cacao while focusing on conservation. Enjoy!

Ten years ago, the search for world class organic cacao led us to the remote Guaconejo Forest Reserve in the northern mountain range of the Dominican Republic. Since then, we have been quietly working with cacao farmers on sustainable farming and biodiversity conservation projects. What started out as a small project has come to fruition. To pay homage to all the work farmers and project partners

have done over the past ten years, we felt it appropriate to name this bar “Project Reserva.”
Here, in Vermont we winnow, stone grind, and hand- package each bar.
