Don't forget there is a zoning meeting tonight at 7 pm at the 4H building at Kelley park. It might be entertaining!

It's not too late to run a write in campaign for a couple of those commissioner positions. It wouldn't take much to win. One is still pushing his solar agenda. The only reason he ran. Good luck with that!!

Update on water from Melvern Lake and a change to zoning at Coffey County Airport from ag to industrial. If I recall we just had a talk about upgrading utilities. Thankfully someone thought we better put a moratorium on data centers for a year until we have some zoning regs in place. I wonder what this is going to cost us? Maybe selling the north property from the last county dream will rake in enough.

The election didn't quite turn out how we hoped but over half the voters voted against the "winner"...

It's Election Day!!

One of the greatest privileges we have as Americans is the right to vote.

I encourage you to take a few minutes today and make your voice heard. Every election matters—including primary elections. In many races, the decisions made in the primary help shape the future of our communities, our state, and our country.

It’s easy to think one vote doesn’t make a difference, but history has shown time and again that close elections happen. That’s why every vote truly does count.

Our freedoms have been preserved through the sacrifices of countless men and women who believed in this country and the principles it stands for. One way to honor that sacrifice is by participating in the democratic process.

If you haven’t made a plan to vote, I urge you to make that plan. I hope you’ll exercise your right to vote.

Looks like the airport is wanting more utilities? Maybe we can get a nonstop flight to Cabo out of Coffey County airport!

Who knows what the potential lawsuit is. Probably some company wanting to get started with their solar project before the end of the year.
