Farm project of the day— we put up the new round pen arena panels!!!!! 🙌 And yes— during the heat wave where we also hosed all of our animals multiple times throughout the day (and children as well (see pic of Audrey in bucket 🤣)). The herd enjoyed a little sunset turn out time this evening 💛

Next up- installing the lights in the round pen arena for evening rides! 😍

We are going to have some very happy horses here!!! 🐴🌼💛✨

We came home from our beach vacation to the best surprise—our beautiful new gates had been installed! I think it’s safe to say our fencing project is officially complete, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

I couldn’t let this milestone pass without one final thank you to for helping transform our new property into everything we envisioned for our horses. It truly turned out even better than I ever imagined.

If you’re in Southern Maryland and looking for fencing, I cannot recommend Mr. Bowles and his crew enough. Not only are they incredibly hardworking and talented, but they are genuinely wonderful people who treated our project as if it were their own.

In less than two months since purchasing this farm, they have installed beautiful vinyl fencing around our backyard for the pugs, built an amazing goat paddock (and the fact that Jet—the resident ninja goat—hasn’t escaped yet says everything! 😂), removed all of the old fence posts from over 8 acres, taken down and hauled away all of the old wire fencing, filled every post hole, and completely transformed the property.

To top it all off, Mr. Bowles just went above and beyond by tracking down and special ordering these gorgeous green gates after searching everywhere so they would perfectly match our barn and arena panels. That level of care and attention to detail means so much.

Thank you, Mr. Bowles and your entire crew, for your incredible craftsmanship, hard work, and dedication. We are so grateful to have met such wonderful people, and every time we pull into Dandelion Farm, we’ll be reminded of the care you put into making this dream a reality!

Construction Update at Dandelion Farm!! 🌼🐴✨

Acres upon acres upon acres of beautiful horse fencing are officially COMPLETE! 🙌

The new gates should arrive next week! When we return from our family vacay, the gates will be installed & the pastures safe, secure and ready to bring the horses!!!! 🐴

Watching this farm come together has been such an exciting journey, and seeing the pastures take shape is another huge step toward bringing our vision to life. Soon these fields will be filled with happy horses, little riders, and countless memories.

From years of moving and starting over as a military family to finally putting down roots, every board and post represents a dream becoming reality 🥲

We can’t wait to share what’s next! 💛

Out with the old wire fencing… in with the new horse fencing!

Almost all of the old fencing & posts are gone and the beautiful new fencing is underway! It’s so exciting seeing Dandelion Farm come to life little by little- it is looking beautiful around here! 💛

A little farm update since move-in day! 🌼🐴

We’ve officially had the keys to our beautiful new farm for two weeks now, and it’s been nonstop work getting everything ready for the horses!

So far, we’ve been busy tearing down the old wire fencing and replacing it with beautiful three-board wooden fencing. The goat paddock is officially finished, and I’ve spent countless hours cleaning out and clearing the old barn.

Next up — the barn is getting a full makeover with brand-new horse stalls, a tack room, and built-in run-ins coming soon! The fencing company will also be back in a couple of weeks to finish the horse fencing around the rest of the property.

We also have an outdoor arena and round pen in the works, and we absolutely cannot wait to bring our horses home and begin welcoming riders, friends, and our farm family here soon 💛

This place is already becoming everything we dreamed of, and we’re so excited for all the memories ahead here at Dandelion Farm!🐴🌼✨
