A quick little 30 gallon indirect water heater replacement, the old indirects coil sprung a leak and over pressurized the boiler system

We added a mixing valve and expansion tank to the system per mass code, typically the boiler piping is 1 inch but the existing was already piped in 3/4 and with such a small tank we repiped in 3/4, recovery will take a little longer but will work just as good as the old tank, actually adding capacity to the tank via the mixing valve.

Still some small things to finish up, but this customer got an upgrade from an 80% efficient furnace to a 96% efficient furnace with a humidifier, we were able to slow down the fan speed a bit so the humidifier will work better since its just a bypass humidifier.

Another reason annual maintenances are important!

This customer had us come in for a miantenance on a Navien combi boiler, while inspecting the system i noticed heavy rusting staining coming from the exhaust flue. The flue packing(gasket) was compromised and allowing flue gases to escape into the house.

Good ole american standard packaged unit, heating exchanger had holes in it so we had to shut it down. Came back in the am to get the new one in for this customer so they can have heat again. And yes that is a die hard picture of me crawling in the duct to get some debree out!

Cold weather is here guys!

If your gas piping near your gas meter looks like this, shoot us a call! Pitted gas pipe leads to gas leaks, if the utility company finds its first then they will lock out your meter, in which case id have to repair the leak and call in for an inspection. Only after inspection passes can we get the utility company to turn gas back on which could be a 1-2 day process.

Call today and get scheduled to test, clean. And paint the pipe to avoid issues!!

Ignitor and flame sensor electrodes on a navien on demand combi boiler/water heater, this part is crucial for ignition and should not be warped, the corrosion isnt ideal either.

Just finished up this beauty in Buzzards Bay. A little tricky with the brick siding, we were able to route the drain through the foundation under the bricks and concrete patio. Smaller system for the basement as they wont be utilizing the heat mode and primarily using it for dehumidification and cooling in the summer.
