Status update: it's SPRING

Yard crocuses blooming, grow lights blazing, 67° today, and BABY GOATS!!!

Say goodbye ICE AGE and hello to:
Lincoln aka Linc aka Lincovich Chomofsky (a few of you might get it) and the twins Mini and Elsa, our late night FROZEN🥶 snow babies (luckily I had the hair dryer I used on Linc in the barn still).

❤️‍🔥keep the specials and menu changes coming! Mushroom and swiss with HAND DIPPED onion rings was👍👍, but idk how you expect people to choose SALAD or BRUSCHETTA 🤔fresh mixed lettuce, tomatoes, basil... I ordered both😁. Even if you don't like bruschetta ORDER IT, the chef Fyre Lake Winery has nailed it!!!

This might be the last post from Squirrel Run Farm ...
Pretty sure Maggie might kill me when she sees how much lettuce I just cut🤣

If I live, we will have a ton of field fresh salad up for grabs. Not to brag but we had a trial salad last night and my spousal unit might have said it was "the best salad I've ever had."

Wish me luck folks🤞

UPDATE: Maggie is definitely winning today. She's been inside in the ac washing lettuce for a few hours. Meanwhile, I look like I fell in the imaginary pool, smell like a goat, and still have veggies to pick🥵.

After making 30 pts of salsa today, I'm not that excited about the 20+lbs of pickling cucumbers I just picked😨 so if anyone feels like making some pickles I can hook you up.

July 26th and check out this salad mix!!!

Somehow need to pick more, wash more, can more, sell more, and cook more🤔

On today's list (after putting away the massive Sam's club order): tend the garden, make and can salsa, make and freeze pesto cubes, peel and can potatoes (and maybe make gnocchi), plant more lettuce and some fall veggies, prep the front pasture for reseeding...
If anyone knows anything about cloning or wants veggies lmk😜

Don't feel like cooking tonight... check out fine dining at Fyre Lake Winery!
Their bruschetta is 🔥 and they probably (definitely) have the freshest lettuce in town😉
