Why is some honey capped and some still open? 🍯

The bees cap honey once they've reduced its water content to around 20-18%, meaning it's properly cured and ready for long-term storage.

The uncapped cells are being worked as the bees continue evaporating water from the nectar. They do this by fanning and controlling the moisture in the hive. Inside and outside the hive.

Nature's in control more that we are.....
