Yes, it’s June 5, and yes, we have our first dahlia bloom🤯same variety that bloomed first last year, KA Mocha Katie, except that she’s about four weeks earlier than last year.

🔍Difference is this dahlia was over-wintered in the ground, meaning we left the tubers in the field to be nice and cozy all winter with some heavy mulch, a warm high tunnel, and a big gamble hoping our milder winter wouldn’t kill them.

🌞 It means more dahlias for more weeks for customers this season - hooray! So if you haven’t joined our bouquet subscriptions, we have two options coming up, both of which will feature dahlias, zinnias, sunnies and so many more!

💐LAST RESTOCK just dropped at Wissel Farms! 💐 THANKS for the tremendous support of this mighty effort to grow beautiful ranunculus and see it sell out! It made all the midnight frantic moments during hard winter freezes all worth it. 🙏🏻
