The Testify sons — Lot 59 & Lot 60

We want to share a little about the cow side behind these two bulls.

Lot 59
Traces back to the Lakota cow family — the same family that produced the high-selling bull in the 2023 Rhodes Red Angus Bull Sale, RREDS MR Roll On 229.

The Lakota cows are known as udder improvers. His dam, 208, is a SAV Renovation granddaughter that has calved first cycle on her first three calves. She is balanced, feminine, and beautifully designed.

Lot 60
Backed by a powerhouse female. His dam, 9003, is a 3/4 sibling to the dam of Rushmore and has calved first cycle on her first six calves.

Production highlights include:
• Highest actual weaning weight bull in 2024
• Highest adjusted yearling weight bulls in 2022 & 2023

She is fertile, moderate made, and productive.

🔥 We’re highlighting one of our favorites from the sale offering — Lot 3!

529 demonstrates everything we appreciate about his sire, Rushmore: muscle, body, and mass, while offering even more size and performance. 529 is the kind that combines herd bull look with added power.

His young dam represents the third generation of this cow family in our program and already records 4 calves with a 351-day calving interval. The consistency runs deep — his granddam produced 9 calves with a 366-day interval, and his great granddam raised 12 calves with a 372-day interval. Proven longevity and fertility stacked into one pedigree.

2027 calf crop is underway!

Still wearing the same “breeding sweatshirt” from my first job out of college… some things just stick. 😁

We just finished AI’ing our heifers using Rushmore and Bobcat.

✔ Rushmore — with two calf crops on the ground, we appreciate how consistently he transmits his base width, muscle pattern, and fleshing ability.

✔ Bobcat — next year will be our first calf crop, and we expect calves that add performance and put pounds in all the right places, while keeping mature size in check.

Also worth noting: Bobcat’s little brother sells as Lot 7 at the Rhodes Red Angus Bull Sale — April 20 in Faulkton, SD.

Excited to see what this calf crop brings!
