Nothing Fancy - Farm & Ranch

Nothing Fancy - Farm & Ranch Simple living. Honest ingredients. Handcrafted with care. We hope to add a few cows this spring / summer.

Nothing Fancy Farm & Ranch offers farm-inspired skincare and handmade products created to nourish, support, and celebrate natural living. Nothing Fancy – Hobby Farm & Ranch is a small 20-acre plot of land located just 11 miles east of Falcon, Colorado. The property was purchased in 2021 by Clint and Lani Robertson, as they longed to have a small piece of country (as Clint came from a big ranch in

eastern CO) to set up and raise animals and harvest a garden. It all started with just 4 chickens and has already grown to have 4 Nigerian Dwarf does (Lettie, Natalie, Panda and Eve), 2 barn cats (Laurel and Hardy), 2 dogs (Leo and Red) and 1 old lazy house cat (the name in our family is debated but I call her Kitty Anna). Lani plans to offer goat milk products from soaps & lotions, cheese, yogurt and more. We believe that so much of what is in various cosmetics, household items and food today is overly processed with many compounds and ingredients that are not good for us. Our ultimate goal is to get back to the basics of what God provides us. Be sure to follow us as we evolve so you won’t miss what we offer next!

Yesterday, we finally got around to getting some soaps made. I need to be gearing up for the Falcon High School Bazaar and need more inventory. We made a Coffee soap and two new scents, Harvest and Fresh Air. This morning we are going to do one more before our daughter comes out for the day. The soap today will also be a new scent called Crisp Leaves. I am excited to see how they turn out after they cure.

This morning I ventured to a community members house to learn and help process 100 chickens. They were so gracious to offer to teach others and in exchange get the help to get the birds in the freezer. We started at 8 this morning and were done by 11:30ish. Man oh man, that is a lot of work! I am glad to have another skill to add to my homesteading toolbox. Hope to do some of our own in the future, but will for sure need helpers...who’s in? 🤪😊

Save the date as we always have many great vendors to shop from! Also, let me know if you would like to be a vendor. 😊

On Saturday, I hosted a paint-by-number party and it was so enjoyable! I had 6 ladies come and get creative. I hope to do more parties in the future. Let’s get more creativity in the world than negativity!

Also, that’s me in the pic with the awesome spy glass headwear…it was the real MVP of the day. 🤪

Let me know if you would be interested in joining me for a creative class in the future.

I sure do skip around to many random projects in a day! This morning I wrapped 12 mullein bundles as my cousins wife gave me some that was growing on their property. This was my first time doing the bundles and I hope they turn out good.

Next project was some stamped tea towels that I have been wanting to make. I have a few different ideas for these. What do you think of this one? Keep making more?

My goodness…it is very hard to photograph a baby kitty without help! Here are the updated pics of babies that will be 5 weeks tomorrow. ❤️ We will keep 1 or 2 but the rest are looking for a new barn or house to call their own. Momma kitty, Caramel, isn’t looking for a new home, just wanted to let people know how they may look when grown.

*1 gray male is spoken for.
