We’ve all had “Kitchen Mishaps”, and I have probably had more than the average “Home Chef”, so you’d think I’d be use to it when something goes awry in my Kitchen. This one however hurts. Making jam takes some serious time, and after spending five hours in my Kitchen cleaning and making jam yesterday, I was heartbroken to find that my pectin failed on 16 jars of my Christmas Spice Jam. What this means is that the jam did not “set up” or jell. It also means that now I have 16 jars of “Christmas Spice Syrup”. I loathe wasting product and time, so as an effort to turn this mishap around, I have decided to sell this syrup. It is made with the exact same ingredients as the jam, taste exactly the same, but has a thinner consistency and texture. It will make a wonderful addition to cocktails, cheesecake, ice cream, waffles, you name it. $5 a jar, unlabeled, and for personal use please. Please comment below if you are interested in purchasing some of this syrup, and helping me “right a wrong”. As always, thank you for your support.
*Note, I went back in the kitchen for two more hours of jamming last night, and another two this morning to produce actual jam to fill current orders. If you have a preorder of Christmas Spice Jam, your items will be ready for pick up this afternoon.
