When asked why Brannan Wines 2021 Charbono was selected for ACME's October Under the Radar Club Carina - Director of Operations chimed in and had these fine words to share:
"In the 20 years since Karen Williams founded ACME, we have strived to showcase and launch the up-and-coming and debut brands from our home of Napa Valley. Searching for these inaugural wines to share with our cherished clients is our North Star. A significant benefit of featuring the small, often family-owned producers of the Valley is the opportunity to support our neighbors and friends and, therefore, our wider winemaking community. So when we heard whispers of a collaboration between Seth & Carl celebrating Napa and, specifically, Calistoga and its legacy vineyards, we knew it would be a perfect feature in our clubs.
Under the Radar is "the club that launched 1,000 brands" and the essence of ACME, as it features solely inaugural releases of red wines from domestic producers. Charbono is such a unique varietal, and the wines are so difficult to find outside of California. With many of California's Charbono vines in Calistoga, this wine metaphorically honors the Brannan Wines mission to celebrate Napa's northernmost sub-AVA. Sharing Brannan's Charbono and brand story with ACME's club members across the country (and even worldwide) made total sense. Brannan's 2021 Heritage Charbono ticked all the boxes for an Under the Radar wine, and most importantly, it is decidedly delicious!"
