BEFORE & AFTER ⭐️
What you see before you is a 15-month journey, from June 2022 to October 2023. In that time I have managed to shed 15-20 pounds – which at the beginning of this, seemed impossible. I never thought that I could get to where I am today because I vividly remember those days when I stared into the mirror, questioning if I could ever reach my quote on quote “dream body.”
But the most significant change is not JUST physical; it’s a MENTAL SHIFT. 💪💆♀️
It’s about resisting that inner voice that urges the easy route:
♦️ Battling the temptation to sleep in and hit the snooze button
♦️ Staying true to a consistent eating schedule
♦️ Prioritizing balanced, nutritional meals
♦️ Allowing yourself shortcuts
♦️Not making the gym a priority
♦️Eating like s**t and wondering why things aren’t changing
Over the course of this journey, I have stayed committed to the meal prep in which .meals offers. I guess you could say I’m the “poster child” 🤷🏾♂️ 😅 which has allowed me to enjoy a great amount of protein, healthy fats, carbs, starches, and veggies. You know me and veggies, they keep us healthy. But beyond meal prep, I’ve embraced self-care, from taking daily vitamins to protein shakes and then of course getting in sauna sessions and whirlpool bath sessions for recovery. And yes, I’m still enjoying all the junk food I want… however in moderation 🍔🍝🍟🍰🍷🍺💯🙌
I write all of this not to boast or make it about ME. But more so, it’s a reminder that I’m not a highly-paid athlete, a world-renowned athletic trainer, or someone with a nutrition degree. I’m just an ordinary person that had a goal and wanted to achieve that goal. BAD. I had a vision and pursued it. And I didn’t give in to the excuses that I would make up for myself. The message is simple: you can achieve your goals too. Just ask yourself, are you willing to make those changes?
