Those that place confirmation orders will receive an email invoice from Ullery Farms ([email protected]) at the beginning of next week for your portion's deposit.

🗓️Butcher Date is set for Tuesday, October 13 or Thursday, October 15.
** NOTE: Customers will be split up between these two butcher dates. Your specific date will be determined closer to the butcher date.

Let us introduce you to FAYE!

Faye is something very special to us here on the farm!!!

You may not know but the cattle business is a long term return on your investment and for us it started in 2020! Started with a few cow/calf pairs, then a few more the next year, then you decide you want to really do this / make a go of it for lack of better words. So in 2023 you buy a big group of bred cows. But with that comes a bank note. Bank note means your first calf crop gets sold and $ goes to the bank.

Meanwhile during all of this you’re learning. Sometimes by mistake…but constantly learning. Always talking about bulls and genetics! So you take a plunge and buy an Awesome Bull from a ranch in Iowa.

2024 your finally seeing something and financially able to start keeping heifers back.

Remember I say it’s a long term investment! Well fast forward 2 more years to Spring 2026 and those 2024 heifers we kept are starting to have their first calves.

Faye is the very first being PM62 (heifer) out of MC62 out of C62 (which is a cow we still have out of that big group we bought in 2023). All three are specifically picked by my father and I.

If you’re still with me… those letters and numbers are the tagging system we use. Every letter has a year with it. This year 2026 is P. So PM62… P-Fayes year / M-Fayes moms year and 62 is the series, which comes from C62 the original cow. If every letter has a year with it, imagine how old C62 is. She is still an operating cow apart of our herd and expected to calve again in Spring 2027.

Just a little bit about our farm and how we got our start. Thank you for reading this far as this is something we care greatly about. The USA beef herd is depleting yearly and we are trying to do our part to keep USA cattle feeding us Americans.
