I want to take a moment to address something that is very important to me as a business owner.
We work incredibly hard to provide great food, great service, and prices that families can actually afford. We intentionally keep our prices at or below many comparable vendors because one of the things I am most proud of is knowing that families can attend a fair, festival, or community event, enjoy themselves, and still be able to feed their family without spending a fortune.
That will not change.
But there is something else that will not change: I WILL NOT tolerate disrespectful, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior toward me, my family, or any employee working in one of our food trucks.
We appreciate every single person who chooses to spend their hard-earned money with our small businesses, and we always do our best to treat our customers with kindness and respect. One of the core principles we live by, and the foundation this business is built on, is kindness. We expect that same basic respect in return.
What occurred yesterday crossed that line.
No sale and no amount of money is worth allowing someone to mistreat the people who work beside me. I will gladly lose a sale or 2 or 3 before I allow an employee, family member, or myself to be disrespected simply because we are standing behind a food truck window. Many factors go into our pricing and I am constantly researching, resourcing and watching everything to give my customers the best values for their buck. Our prices have not changed since 2023 at this point.
Running small businesses means long days, hot trucks, exhausted feet, missed family time, and a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes. We do it because we genuinely love serving the communities that have supported us.
Affordable prices should never be mistaken for permission to treat people poorly.
We will continue serving great food, keeping our prices as reasonable as we possibly can, appreciating the wonderful customers who support us, and treating people with respect.
But respect will always be a two-way street. 🩷
