Kids and Goats For Sale - Hilltop Haven Farmstead

It’s been a while but we’ve been busy getting ready for breeding season. More on that to come! But, for now, I didn’t know it was possible but hubs says we might have a few too many goats in the pasture. 🤪

We are downsizing a bit and have some nice ladies looking for new pastures. They can be bred prior to leaving if the buyer prefers. All are currently open. Check them out! 👇🏻

A lot can happen in an hour. This morning at chores we brought Moon to the barn. By the 11am bottle feeding, Teeny needed to come in too. I spent my lunch delivering five healthy kids, all in the span of an hour. 😅

This video of Moon’s doeling doing the “sucky face” is everything. 😍 Sound on for full effect, and never mind the goat radio in the background. 📻

We hope you all are enjoying the sunshine! Yesterday while cleaning the barn my little helper unloaded a truckload of Chaffhay and shavings. I love his ingenuity and use of a tire to prevent the bags from ripping. Smart! 🤓

It can be easy to forget that farm life and the responsibility of animals isn’t always snugs and sunshine. I suppose that’s a good thing, because that means that we have WAY more good days than bad. 🌞

Our entire {human} family is fighting the flu. But, that doesn’t mean we can just phone it in. Our does still need to be milked, babies fed bottles, stalls cleaned up, water hauled, etc.

For today, it’s this picture to remind us that easier days will come. Thank you for your patience as we prioritize our family’s health. 💕

What a beautiful weekend! Nothing like a nice dose of spring, even if it is only temporary. ☀️

Prada finally decided to release her hostages on Saturday morning at 4am. It was a long night and an eventful delivery, with two bucklings and one doeling arriving safely.

We also held our first 12 hour fill for all of our 2-3 week fresh does. 🥛 Details and more cute kid pictures to come!

Pearl gave us these two black beauties on Monday, right on schedule. 🥰 Prada is still her usual miserable self, and still very pregnant.

Tomorrow is day 151 for Prada. I’m pretty sure she’s had enough of this fun for now. 😂

Pearl Jam, a first-freshener, is due tomorrow. I think she might beat Prada to the finish line. Time will tell!
