A beef chuck roast is perhaps the most staple roast of them all! Bountiful in quantity and nutrient content, this roast should be gracing your table every week! Here are ten ideas for how to do that without it becoming a monotonous crock pot meal! 😉

4 ounce serving contains:
•160 to 200 calories
•22 to 24 grams of complete protein
•7-12 grams fat (depending on marbling & trim)

Our family of businesses is seeking a highly motivated individual for a 2026 Summer Internship. This includes Gunther Grain & Cattle Co., Custom Fencing by Joshua Gunther, Oak Avenue Farm, and Oak Avenue Properties, LLC. Work will be near Camp Point IL and in surrounding area.

The ideal candidate would be:
•A high school Junior or Senior, or any collegiate level
•Reliably available 35-40 hours per week starting in Mid May-Mid August.
•Interested in serving in a multi-faceted role
•Have dynamic problem solving skills
•Able to follow directions and maintain clear communication
•Be an autonomous self starter when needed
•Be interested in seeking a future in agriculture entrepreneurship, agriculture business, farming, cattle management, or a related role
•Enthusiastic about manual labor and working outside in all Midwest summer conditions
•Have a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and dependable transportation
•Able to operate heavy machinery

Scope of work will vary day to day. Approximate time estimates would be 50-60% of time would be spent with Custom Fencing, 30% with Gunther Grain & Cattle Co., 10% with Oak Avenue Farm, 5% with Oak Avenue Properties, LLC.

A summer project will be identified by June and dependent upon interests of candidate.

Compensation is dependent upon skillset and experience. Position will remain open until filled.

I never imagined I would enjoy raising my children alongside stewarding cattle so much.

We expanded our flock last fall and therefore have eggs to accommodate some additional weekly families!

🥚 Our eggs are completely free range & pasture raised. They are let out at sunrise each morning and closed in at sunset each evening, simply for protection. They get to graze and eat what they please making the eggs a delicious flavor with vibrant yolks!

3.25/dozen. We would love to deliver weekly to your family! Eggs do not have a delivery fee in camp point or Quincy. We can accommodate up to 5 dozen a week right now! Delivery would be every Monday or Wednesday if you choose to have a recurring delivery.

If you don't want weekly and simply want to snag a dozen here or there, we can accommodate that also!
