Today was the last summer Farm market for 2025. I just wanted to say thank you to all my amazing customers for a fantastic year and already looking forward to 2026!

Kristie Laverdiere of Lavender Hills Farm in Canaan, CT, started her goat cheese farm in January of 2023. Now a steady vendor at farmers' markets in Westport, CT, and Great Barrington, MA, her goat cheeses are also available at the Berkshire Coop and Guido’s Marketplace in Great Barrington. She is not afraid to experiment, and her chèvre varieties include Strawberry Rhubarb, Smoky (smoked paprika & garlic), Honey Lavender, and a dark chocolate chèvre named “Dessert.” The newly released 2nd edition of the Berkshires Farm Table Cookbook features several recipes inspired by her goat cheese, as well as other local goat cheese farmers and makers.

Meet Carolina!! The newest goat in the herd!! Carolina is a Lamancha dairy goat! Notice the stubby ears?? That is the breed standard! I can’t wait to see how her kids look in the spring and she already has adapted so well to the herd!!! Carolina has officially put me up to 30 goats right now. I might be a little crazy 🤪

Great Barrington! I unfortunately will not be at the market today super low on inventory!!! Definitely will be there September 6 ! Feel free to come to the farm if you were looking for anything!!

The school bus is loaded and we are off to summer camp 2025!!! Every year the teenagers/toddler goats get to spend there summer days on lush beautiful grass. They will be back at the home farm early fall!

She knows how cute she is 🥰 Dolly is one our baby’s that was born this spring! She will join the milking herd once she is 2 years old.
