🍽️ What if your next dinner out felt more like a dinner party with people you’ve never met?
That’s the idea behind Isla in Columbus’ Merion Village. ✨
Created by husband-and-wife duo Andrew Smith and Devoney Mills, Isla grew out of years of hosting supper clubs in their own home. Today, they’ve brought that same focus on food, hospitality, and human connection into an intimate communal dining experience.
Isla’s tasting menus are shaped by seasonality, local ingredients, smaller producers, and creative food-waste utilization—which means what’s being served is always evolving. 🌱
Some dishes featured on the rotating menu include:
🍉 Watermelon — smoked beet juice, queso fresco + local herbs
🥟 Dumplings — herb stems, cheesy grits, parmesan cream, dried tomato skins + black garlic
🍅 Aguachile — carbonated cherry tomatoes + tangerine-pressed olive oil
🥕 Carrot — BBQ carrot, pickled white chanterelle, smoked roe + buttermilk
🐷 Chicharones — pork rinds, cherry tomato powder + dried shiitake
🔥 Pork Belly — crispy braised pork belly, perilla leaf, bonito + green garlic harissa
🐟 King Salmon — salmon fins marinated in tamari + maple and crusted with sesame + kombu
🍦 Blue Moon — Blue Moon ice cream, burnt marshmallow + lemon-pressed olive oil
✨ One thing to know before you go: Isla’s menu changes frequently based on seasonality and what’s available from local farmers and producers, so these exact dishes may not be available during your visit.
The food may change, but the purpose stays the same: bringing people together around the table. ❤️
