Perched high in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, Koosah Vineyard, owned by Résonance Wines, feels distinctly different from any in the Willamette valley. Due to an ideal combination of soil, sun, elevation, and wind, the current production and future potential of this location is causing the wine world to sit up and take notice.

recently called it Oregon’s best Chardonnay vineyard, and if you’ve tasted the wines being produced from this site, you’ll understand why.

Is Willamette Valley the new Napa?

Napa is bold, luxurious, and iconic.

The Willamette Valley is intimate, rustic, and approachable.

But they both offer incredible wines with a distinct sense of place.

Napa: Unmistakable Cabernets.

Willamette Valley: Elegant Pinot noirs and mineral-driven Chardonnays.

At Résonance, we make Burgundian-style wines that let the terroir speak for itself in your glass.

Whether you love the relaxed opulence of Napa or prefer something more understated, you’ll find the Willamette Valley equally impressive or refreshingly different.

Yesterday the Rèsonance team took a hike to our Fool’s Errand vineyard. Winemaker Guillaume educated the team about the vision behind the planting of this special vineyard and the unique farming and canopy management needed for a small vineyard like this, designed in the ways of old Burgundian vineyards.

We tasted our first bottle of the inaugural vintage of our Fool’s Errand Pinot Noir from 2023 while standing amongst these very special vines. The site is secluded, with its own micro climate, and the wine produced from these vines is elegant and aromatic. We are so excited to begin to share this wine this summer.

"It's days like these that make the gray and rainy days worth it."

You hear this in the Pacific Northwest a lot; but when the sun comes out and everything is in bloom, you understand why. This Friday is May Day, a day we traditionally acknowledge that summer is near and a time to be grateful for our year-round showers that bring May flowers...and, eventually, grapes!

We have a wonderful summer in store here at Résonance. We can't wait for you to spend it with us ❤️

Saturday is Résonance Day and we are so excited to share this special day with you!

We are incredibly proud to be part of Oregon’s winemaking story. Our four estate vineyards are planted across the Willamette Valley, farmed and certified organic, and rooted in Oregon’s unique volcanic and marine sedimentary soils. The climate, the land, and the traditions all come together to create exceptional wines from this exceptional terroir.

But while we are deeply rooted to the land here in Oregon, our approach to winemaking is shaped by the proud traditions of Maison Louis Jadot, which was founded in Bourgogne (Burgundy), France in 1859. Over 150 years later, they set out to blend Oregon’s vibrant terroir with the heritage of Burgundian winemaking. Maison Louis Jadot brought together the best of both worlds at Résonance in 2013 with these wines carrying a sense of place — “a somewhereness”— reflecting timeless winemaking techniques, passion, and Old World expertise.
