The magic of cold process soap never gets old!

When I first unmolded my Black Raspberry Vanilla bars after CPOP (cold process oven process), I had a little moment of panic 😅 They came out this moody grey shade and I wondered what my natural colors had decided to do.

But handmade soap teaches patience and just going with it.

After a couple days of curing, the transformation happened — that grey shifted into this beautiful berry tone that fits Black Raspberry Vanilla perfectly. 🍇✨

This bar is colored naturally with a blend of indigo and madder root, and watching these botanicals develop and change is one of my favorite parts of creating soap.

Nature doesn’t always reveal its beauty right away… sometimes you just have to wait for the magic. 🌿🫧

These bundles of sage and oregano are hanging to dry, preserving their flavor, aroma, and many traditional herbal uses for the months ahead.

🌿 Turning comfrey into garden gold! 🌿

A simple mason jar, fresh comfrey leaves, and water are all it takes. I'm letting this steep for about a week, giving it a shake every couple of days to help release all those valuable nutrients.
