When you have a day off and a few scraps are taking up space in your shop, what do you do? You throw them together and make a rabbit tractor for your garden space of course. I’m not sure if it’s cool or ridiculous but I enjoyed spending some time with my son and being creative.

Today’s project is installing solar fans. With this extreme heat and humidity the rabbits need all the help they can get to stay cool.😎

It might say Mt. Olive on the jars but I assure you that Mt Olive doesn’t have a chance up against this homemade goodness.😋 I’m trying something new this time. I read recently that if you put a blackberry or grape leaf in the jar, it will keep the pickles crunchy. I’ll let you know how well it works in a week or so.

I had gotten a little behind on things since my recent surgeries. It feels good to get back on track. Regularly trimming a rabbit’s nails is an important part of good stewardship on the homestead. Proper nail care helps prevent injuries, reduces the risk of nails becoming overgrown or snagged, and allows rabbits to move comfortably and naturally. By taking the time to maintain their health and well-being, homesteaders demonstrate responsible animal husbandry and ensure that their rabbits remain healthy, productive, and free from unnecessary discomfort. It’s often the things that people sometimes don’t think about or neglect that make all the difference in the overall health of your homestead animals.

Hello friends, I haven’t posted much lately. I’ve been recovering from some medical procedures just taking life easy for a bit. I listened to an amazing song today that was written by my cousin Apryl Mansfield. It touched me deeply as I have often felt the same way in my walk with God. I know that this is a homesteading page but my walk with Christ is very important in my homestead life as well as life in general. Anyway this song moved me and I thought you all might like it as well.
