We are looking for reliable person to join our team to provide exceptional care for our horse residents. The schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday early am, plus occasional fill in for evenings and/or weekends too also include sharing holiday shifts.Monday through Friday - 6:30 am until finished - average 5 hours/day. More hours are available.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Feeding
Watering
Handling horses
Cleaning Stalls and barn (horse area and human)
Grooming
General Maintenance

Must be able to:
Lift min of 50 lbs
Work independently, but be able to take direction from supervisor
Learn new methods and techniques
Horse experience is a plus, but not necessary - we are willing to train right person
Drive in Minnesota winters and have a valid license

We can offer:
A fair and relaxed work environment
Ability to increase equine knowledge
Family disc. for lessons
Lesson horses and lease options

Lessons at Merlot Farm LLC

We are now offering horse back riding and horsemanship lessons.
Type of lessons:
Ground Work - Manners, handling, grooming, etc.
Round Penning
Lunging to exercise
Lunging to Build Balance and Strength
Positional lunge Lesson
Flat work
Dressage

Price of lessons vary from $45-$75 depending on type of lesson, trainer etc.

We have a system of evaluation for each student, helping you to set your own goals and time frames, which we will help you to achieve.

Haul-In fee is $20.00/time/horse

We are very proud to announce, that we are now an official distributor for one of the best feed brand in US, Crypto Aero.

Our pick up hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday. For best service we need 24hr notice of pick up time and amount of bag you wish to pick up.

For orders larger than 5 bags please allow 1 week notice to give us enough time to fill the order. Because of shelf life we do not overstock.
