That Vegetarian Couple

Ain’t no meal like a hearty meal from 😍 We were invited to try their March special Quinoa Salad, and it did not disappoint! We are always spoilt for choice and love how many vegetarian and vegan options they offer, including the desserts. If you haven’t been to Sassool before, here’s your sign.
We always get their pick 4 and share it. And, the only way to eat their hummus in our opinions? Get a tub!!

📖Grand opening today📖
📚 Liberation Station - NC’s first black-owned children’s bookstore is opening today at 208 Fayetteville Street, Suite 201, Downtown Raleigh.
📚Victoria Scott-Miller’s vision for this bookstore came after she couldn’t find children’s books that featured characters of color. What started as a pop-up in 2019 now has a permanent brick-and-mortar location in Downtown Raleigh.
📚During the preview, Victoria mentioned how Liberation Station will unapologetically, unwavering, and intentionally serve as a mirror for some and a classroom for others, and we couldn’t agree more.
📚We read to our son everyday, and it’s so important for us that he gets the opportunity to learn and know about all cultures, races and people, and having a place like Liberation Station makes our hearts soar 😀

2022 Food Highlight:
One of the biggest highlights from 2022 was dining in Chicago. We have been wanting to check them out for the last 6-7 years, and finally this was the year it happened! We dined at the Salon at Alinea where they offered a vegetarian tasting menu.
Tips and tricks for making a reservation:
▶️They open reservations 2 months ahead. Use to make your reservation.
▶️If you own a credit card, use the experiences section from it to make reservations via Tock. We were able to use our points to make our reservation.
▶️Ensure that you email your dietary preference in advance.
We are not showing what we ate since their menu changes and we don’t want to spoil any of the dining surprises for fellow diners. If you have any questions about our experience, our DMs are always open 😄
