Nina Sajovec shared her experiences of food insecurity feeding 2000 families through the pandemic after the two stores were cleared out in Ajo, Arizona. They turned a local restaurant into the distribution center. Local food sourcing was extremely important to feed her locals. She's created a "solidarity model" and encourages local Community Food Security Assessments. People were coming from Tucson and Phoenix to buy from their local grocery stores during the pandemic which shorted her own community.
