So this is a very bittersweet moment for me, this is the first group of calves that we are selling from the cattle we purchased from Mr. Powell. His momma cows crossed with our bull Kash and they are as good as anything we have ever raised! His babies did a great job and I know he would be as proud of them as I am. He maybe gone but is not forgotten and it brought back some great memories working these calves in his old pens. ( not a great picture, but they are nice!)

Busy weekend, moved a few groups around. A huge thank you to Jody and Patrick Beck for helping us out. Our Tombigbee bull M11 from the Texas BOF sales last October was to big to fit in our chute to brand and ear tag and Jody said no problem bring him over. Salt of the earth great people, always willing to help out when I’m in need! Not a good picture but he looks good with the C4 blue ear tags. These girls are happy to have a new place to hang out.

Now don’t get me wrong we love our solid red Beefmasters. But the ones that look like the printer was running out of ink...

Tell me you have been spending more than your fair share of time at the protein tub without telling me. Heifers are like toddlers with a cookie jar! She has it on her face, nose, ears down her side. What a mess. Does this count as pre-seasoning your steak?
