Well… it looks like we had a leprechaun situation at our house last night. 🍀

My kiddo built a very serious leprechaun trap, complete with bait and a foolproof plan. Unfortunately, the leprechaun had other ideas. The trap has been completely wrecked… evidence everywhere.

But the little troublemaker must have felt a tiny bit bad, because he left behind a pot with chocolate gold coins. He sprinkled green sugar all over and even turned the apple juice green.

My kid is convinced we were this close to catching him. Next year we may need a stronger trap or better security. 😆

Did the leprechauns visit anyone else’s house last night?

Fun Mom Activity of the Day:
Impulse chocolate lollipops.

Melt chocolate.
Pour on parchment.
Stick in the stick.
Add M&M’s + sprinkles.

Secret: Don’t overheat the chocolate and make sure the stick is fully coated so it actually stays in.

Was this necessary? No.
Was it delightful? Absolutely. The kiddo loved making them and eating them 🤩

PSA time! 📢
I don’t normally answer 1 800 numbers, and if someone claims to be from a company, especially a health insurance provider, I always ask for a call back number so I can verify it first. Scammers can spoof caller IDs to look legit, and the call back number they give is almost never the real one.
Well… today I slipped!
I dialed the number they gave me before researching it. As soon as I realized I wasn’t following my own protocol, I told the person on the phone that I needed to verify the number. They quickly said, “It’s on the back of your insurance card.”
Spoiler: it wasn’t!
So I hung up and called my insurance company using the number from my online account (the real one!) and they confirmed they had not contacted me today for anything.
Just a reminder:
✔ Don’t trust caller ID
✔ Verify the number from an official source
✔ Don’t let anyone rush you
✔ Hang up if it feels off
Stay safe out there. These scam calls are getting sneaky! They pose as legit companies to ask you your personal information, id numbers, etc.

Hello, friends!
It’s been a long while since I’ve posted anything on MsJme, and honestly… life has been doing that thing where it just throws everything at once. Between the chaos, the busy days, and all the “I should really update my blog and Facebook” moments, time got away from me. (Shocking, I know. 😅)
Even though things have been nonstop, I still miss creating and sharing the baking experiments, the crafts that turn out cute, the crafts that don’t, and all the little joys in between. I have big hopes for this year, but I’m also realistic: I probably won’t be posting constantly. And that’s okay. This space has always been about creativity, not pressure.
I’m giving myself permission to show up imperfectly.
Small posts. Quick updates. Maybe a random photo of a half-finished project or something I baked on a whim. If inspiration hits, great! If life says “nope”, also fine. I’m learning to embrace the in-between.

Your support means more than you know, and I’m excited to share whatever little bursts of creativity come my way. Here’s to a year of making things when we can, celebrating the small wins, and rediscovering the fun of creating just because we love it.

Turns out the secret to peaceful dinner prep isn’t fancy recipes… it’s pre-cut veggies and fruit on a cutting board 😅

I start dinner by chopping veggies (plus a little extra), and everyone snacks while I cook.

If there are leftovers, they magically become part of dinner.

Fewer complaints. More vegetables eaten. I’m calling it a mom win.
