Official Title: Activities Director

Reason for Nomination: Whether he’s riling up the neighbor horses or greeting the farm’s visitors, Fudge is always on the move…. For about 5 minutes. While he’s technically in charge of keeping energy levels high, his favorite activity to direct is a high-intensity afternoon nap on the couch. He’s mastered the art of the 160lb snuggle and remains the undisputed champion of horizontal productivity💤

Name of Employee: Zazu
Aka: Zaz, Zaz-Matazz

Official Title: Time clock

Reason for Nomination: Zazu might have been a late bloomer, but now that he’s finally found his voice, he won’t let anyone sleep through the results. His signature crow- which sounds less like a bugle and more like a sad party kazoo- is a testament to the fact that you don’t have to be the best, you just have to be the loudest.

Zazu reminds us all that even if you start the race three laps behind, you can still win the “Most Improved” trophy if you fluff your feathers enough.

Official Title: Head of Security.

Reason for Nomination: Judy takes her job very seriously… mostly the judging everyone part. Her main job function? Pecking holes in everyone’s confidence with her legendary side-eye.

Holy cow, how time flies. We’ve officially been making memories here for a year now. So what better way to commemorate this occasion than having a fun little competition?

The first person to correctly guess how many fruit trees we just purchased to fill our orchard (and these two rascal’s bellies) will win a curated gift from our farm. . And by curated, I mean something random we found on the property 😉piy

This small spare room saw 14 tiny chicks being raised, and now serves as a greenhouse for a fall garden.

But before that, it held a master seamstress’ creations.

And even before that, the seamstress and several of her sisters shared this room growing up.

So much history in one little room.

Thanks for being here! We're so overjoyed and overwhelmed by the amount of support we've received so far. So, what better way to start documenting our journey than to share some of the pictures of the place that got our little hearts and minds racing with ideas and excitement.
The day we toured this place, we fell in love. Probably fell a little too hard in love really, because the home made outhouse, the previous tenant's forcible eviction notices (you bet I stalked them on Facebook too), drug paraphernalia, and the years of neglect and household garbage piled behind the barn didn't even phase us.

Walking the property we saw so much potential, and we hope you see it too. And if you don't see it just yet, well prepare to have your flabbers ghasted. . . not any time soon though, we're in for a lot of work.

Meet the slightly unhinged couple in their 30's who traded sensible careers for a 100-year-old money pit and 10 acres of wild ambition. We're the proud (and often bewildered) owners of Naughty Goose Farms. We're not sure if the name refers to our mischievous fowl or our own audacious decision-making, but either way, we're building something beautiful, one back-breaking project and questionable DIY at a time.
