🚨🚨🚨PSA TO GARDENERS🚨🚨🚨
If you see little corncob/grenade pellets under your pepper/tomato plants, GET TO HUNTING NOW. 😡🌶🌿🍅🐛🗡
📚 Story time,
My husband's parents found this crazy looking brown cocoon thing in the dirt last night so we used my insect identifier... "Sphinx Moth Pupa" also known as Hawk Moth (who are apparently "prolific pollinators")... whose caterpillar is the CIA-created tomato hornworm. 🤬 All stages need to be destroyed then IMO.
🌱 Back to our garden, for the past couple of days, we've been convinced one of the chickens was flying over the garden fence and eating our habanero plants as all of the leaves have been disappearing and almost all were gone last night.
However!!!... After closer inspection this morning, my plant is now 100% bare and stripped and I noticed these unfamiliar tiny green corn cob/grenade looking pellets all around the base of my lifeless, naked pepper plant and even more brighter green pellets under my full bushy habanero plant.
❌ ️I asked my husband if he knew what these were and we decided to ask google... you can imagine how pi**ed I was to see that it said these are "caterpillar FRASS" aka 💩 from a TOMATO HORNWORM.
😡🪖✂️I'm hot and ready to friggin go to battle in my garden. I immediately started searching on my last habanero plant and behold! I found the not so little devil. Made my loving husband remove it and after giving our son a quick science and history lesson on it, he threw it to the chickens who were ecstatic for a big juicy snack.
🐛I decided I better go check on our tomato plant next and of course I'm immediately disgusted to find more "frass" and I removed 3 more hornworms (with my garden shears) to feed to our chickens.
🤓 I hope my crazy post is informative to someone out there and saves your plants before these psychopaths kill and destroy your beautiful gardens. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. 😤
