7+ years and yes, we stand by spray foam being THE best insulating material one could chose for their home. On this project, we saved our clients $10K+ without sacrificing the goal of blocking 97% of heat conduction into the home, air sealing, and creating a storage area in their attic that won’t set off the smoke alarm when they open the attic door. 😄 We also kept the duct work inside the building envelope, lending to noticeable energy savings and increased comfort in the home.

Let’s go on ‘head and get this outta here first. Fiberglass is the least effective material one could use for insulating their attic. Yes, it’s been around for 100+ years, but new technologies, methods, and materials have emerged. Spray foam being the best of them. It not only performs best as insulation, but its capabilities as an air sealer is key in what I’m sure you look for in insulation - to reduce heat conduction, and most notably air seal every gap and crack your conditioned air seeks to escape from. I don’t know about you, but spray foam is a beautiful sight to me 🤩 The roof deck of this is a beauty. A nominal 6.5” of open cell spray foam was applied …and let’s say we gave the client additional value [considering 5.5” was all that was needed] 😉
