The entire team at Chenault would like to congratulate Dolce J'adore for finding his perfect new home. He has been a pleasure in EVERY way to have on the farm.

Dolce was with us for the winter to get legged back up and to be shown to interested parties in the Southeast over the winter months. During that time, we tweaked a few aspects of his management and program, including adjusting his trims and farrier work, addressing some of his compensatory patterns via bodywork, providing some veterinary interventions via our excellent sporthorse vet at Statesville Equine, brushing up on his groundwork skills, adding some weight and muscle, and perhaps most importantly, helping him step back into the riding work in a way that enriched his mind and body, improving his longevity and happiness as a dressage horse.

As we showed him to a number of prospective buyers, his existing owner (and original breeder), watched his progress with great interest and having taken a break from her riding, began to express some interest in stepping back into the saddle. We were pulling HARD for this match, as was her husband, who, when giving us some history on Dolce, mentioned that he had been the one to pull Dolce from his mother at birth.

With the fairy tale ending he deserved and after careful consideration, Dolce shipped back to his original owner in New Jersey this weekend. He arrived safely back HOME to his beautiful farm, 100's of acres of pastures, and his old friends. He and his owner are looking forward to starting a beautiful dressage journey together.

At Chenault, our job is to love the horse first and in doing so, find them their perfect home. Mission accomplished.

Enjoy every second with your lovely boy, Treacy, and Dolce.... no more new barns for the rest of your life, sweet boy! 🥰

CALLING ALL SAVVY DRESSAGE QUEENS (AND KINGS 😉) on a budget looking for a horse in the low 5's with proven quality and all the presence to bring you top finishes at horse shows and then take you for a celebratory trail ride without spilling your champagne! 🙌

I have your horse in my barn right now (Located near Charlotte, NC) and if you trust yourself enough to buy without a flashy sales video, a million edited glamor shots, and perfect rads, this could very well be the proverbial 'diamond in the not-so-rough' you've been looking for as your next, highly competitive, lower-level dressage horse.
______________________________________________________

Dolce J’adore (barn name, DOLCE) is an in-your-pocket, 8 yo Oldenburg gelding standing 17.3H (Diamond Stud x Joshua X Roemer). Dolce has competed successfully at training level and first level with scores to 73% and many top finishes. He was 15th in the USDF/Adequan year-end training level AA final standings in 2022 with a median score of 71%.

______________________________________________________

IN THE BARN:
Dolce loves attention and is great for the vet, farrier and for general ground work. (Dolce also wanted us to add that if his new human isn't tall or great with bridles or halters, he know how to put them on with NO problems because he is an equine genius 🐴🥰!)

UNDER SADDLE:
Dolce is currently schooling training/first level as we bring him back into condition, but has been schooled to second level (yes, we have video of this) and all the buttons for canter/walk, medium gaits, and counter canter are still there.

MAINTENANCE AND KNOWN FINDINGS:
Dolce has juvenile hock arthritis and his hocks are fusing. This requires reasonable maintenance to keep him comfortable in the work (think 1x or 2x annual hock injections). He was injected for the first time in January and responded beautifully. We have updated rads, older rads for a baseline, and will share a heap of vet records and information with serious potential buyers.

CURRENT OWNER:
Dolce has been owned by one person (his breeder) since birth and she has done ALL THE THINGS since moving him to our barn including multiple evaluation exams, recent hock injections, preventive ulcer treatment, bodywork, etc to make sure he is fully conditioned, comfortable, and happy to go back to work. Rare, I know!

👇 WHY NOW AND PRICE 👇

Dolce will be FORMALLY MARKETED when the arena unthaws and he'll be glossy, strong, and gorgeous. If you're a serious, uncomplicated buyer and a lower-level dressage rider looking to stretch your budget for quality, you could find a best friend, a top competitor, and a truly fantastic deal all-in-one! He is priced in the low 5's (starting with a 3). Reasonable offers considered before spring for an uncomplicated sale and a perfect fit home.

Dolce is the product of a small breeding operation based in Hunterdon Valley, NJ and the goal has always been to find the perfect home for him.

IDEAL HOME 🥰

Our goal is to help Dolce find a kind, knowledgeable, and serious amateur rider who will enjoy all his quality and beauty (inside and out). Dolce's owner has her own farm and 100's of acres, so this is not a fire sale or an owner who is desperate to move him on. We will wait for the right person and home.

PLEASE NO SHORT-TERM FLIPPERS LOOKING TO PUT THE CHANGES ON AND RE-SELL HIM. WE DO NOT WANT HIM CRANKED AROUND FOR A QUICK BUCK.

Now... some words of advice from local equine meteorologists, Dolce and Nashville, on the upcoming winter weather expected to impact North Carolina in the coming days....

WHEN IT'S COLD DA MOST IMPORTENT THING IS TO FEED ALL THE PONIES. WHEN IT SNOWS, U FEED THEM MOAR. WHEN IT SLEETS, U FEED THEM MOAR.

YOU BRING THE PONIES IN AND GIVE THEM MOAR HAY. AND MASSAGES. AND U PLAY MUSIC AND CLEAN THEIR ROOMS. AND IF THE HUMANS ARE COLD OR THE POWER GOES OUT, YOU BRING IN MOAR HUMANS TO FEED THE PONIES MOAR AND TO SCRATCH DA PONIES. DO U UNDERSTAND?

WE R FROM NEW JERSEY, U CAN TRUST US.

Rain, snow, sleet or shine, the show must go on when you live on a farm. Big thank you to Fence & Farm Improvements for their excellent, efficient work on stage one of our arena mirror installation despite nasty weather today.

These mirrors are such an exciting addition to the property and as a bonus, we were able to use the sights and sounds of construction as a training and 'focus' test for Dolce and Nashville during their daily under saddle work in the arena. They were both stars! 🤩🤩🐴🐴
