The forecast called for rain, but this 6x12 custom coop still made its way home to Allie in Charlotte, NC today.

Never imagined something that started in my garage would one day be sitting on display beside sheds, gazebos, and buildings on a dealership lot. 🙏

Starting today, you’ll officially be able to view and purchase one of my handcrafted coops on display at Affordable Storage Buildings and Carports of Chapel Hill — a huge step forward for Clay’s Custom Coops.

What started years ago as a small hobby eventually became my passion — and honestly, a form of therapy during some of the hardest times in my life. Countless hours spent building coops while juggling being a father and working a full-time job, with my kids beside me helping Dad out, turned difficult moments into memories I’ll cherish forever.

After over a hundred coops built and delivered to 7 different states, displays at a hardware store in Virginia, and coops built for middle schools as part of their agricultural curriculum, it’s amazing to look back and see how far this journey has come.

Every coop is still handcrafted by yours truly at Clay’s Custom Coops — built right, built local, and built to last.

From tiny starter coop to full-blown chicken mansion… these lucky hens got the upgrade of a lifetime today! 🐔🏡✨

Spent the day in beautiful Roanoke, VA delivering and finishing up this massive 8x22 custom coop and run combo. Tons of space, plenty of shade, fresh airflow, roomy nesting boxes, and a sturdy setup built to last for years to come.

These girls went from an Omlet coop to a luxury farmhouse-style setup with room to roam and live their absolute best life. 👏
