Meet the first calf ever born here at Maddalone Cattle Co. 🐂

This little bull is our first ranch-born calf, and that’s something we’ll always remember.

Building a cattle operation from scratch means celebrating milestones that many established ranches experienced generations ago. Watching him be born, get on his feet, and now grow healthy alongside his mom has been incredibly rewarding.

Mom is doing great, he’s doing great, and we’re excited to watch him grow with the rest of the herd.

Our Wagyu beef program just got a little bigger! 🐂

We welcomed some new steers to Maddalone Cattle Co. today. They’re settling into the corral, getting something to eat and adjusting to their new home.

Building a Wagyu beef program means thinking years ahead. If we want to grow and have more beef available for our family and community two or three years from now, we have to make those decisions today.

These boys are part of that plan, and we’re excited to have them here.

Three years ago, we didn’t own a single Wagyu cow.

Today we’re building a family-run Fullblood Wagyu herd here in Upstate New York.

We’re first-generation ranchers, and while we’re not trying to become the biggest ranch in the country, we are committed to building something we’re proud of—one built on great genetics, great care for our cattle, and exceptional beef for our family and community.

This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to share the journey with you. Thanks for following along.

This little bull calf is only about 24 hours old and already looking great! Got down in the pasture with him before getting him tagged.

Big day on the ranch today!

We got about 10 bull calves and 5 yearling bulls banded, all the calves tagged and numbered, and got the bull in with the moms where he needs to be! A lot going on this time of year, so it felt really good to get a lot done in one day and keep things moving in the right direction.

Huge thanks to the cowboys that came down and gave us a hand today. It was a big help and made a long day go a whole lot smoother!

A pretty special morning here at Maddalone Cattle Co! (Watch till the end!) 👀

We got the call that one of our cows was calving, so I ran up to the ranch and got there just before momma had her calf. Mom did great, calf is doing well, and this one is extra special for us because it’s the first calf born here on our property!

There’s nothing quite like seeing a new calf on the ground and watching those first moments play out.
