A very chilly good morning from Pratense Farms. We would like everyone to know that all of our horses are tucked safely in their stalls as visions of sugar plums (or maybe apples) dance in their heads. We would like to thank our amazingly dedicated staff for their hard work in these extreme conditions. Becca England, Jay, and Gabe!
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Solitary Lady aka Princess earlier this week. For almost 30 years she was a wonderful mare, competitor and mother.
She was awarded the ASHA Bronze and Silver Achievement in both dressage and distance riding (ridden and pictured with Dr. Rachel Powell). She was a bit of a history maker when she was the first poster sport horse for the ASHA flyer
She was also the mother of Varoom and Summer Revival (aka Darby).
Those who knew Princess are invited to share their memories of her.
RIP Solitary Lady 5/14/1993 to 12/12/2022.
From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Pratense Farms.
Thank you to all who have served our country. Today we honor you-
Congratulations Tricia and Craig Vaughan on the purchase of Dreamacres Delilah. Wishing you many happy and successful years ahead!!

The day was going swimmingly till we needed to learn how to swim! 3 rides down and 3 more to go if the rain and lightning slow down!! So far Paula and Chambord have recived at 61% at PSG with an excellent test, Ellie and Rejoice also recieved at 61% in Training 2; in Susan and Yorkie received a 56% in their 2nd level debut. At least we are dry for now and get to enjoy each other's company for a bit! Hopefully our last 3 rides will be as consistent as the first 3!
